10 Things I Love

Films

I love movies! They have brought so much joy and understanding in my life. Goonies (1985) is my all time favorite film. The adventure, the kids, and the story are all spot on. When my family gets together, this is our go to.

Cinematography

Capturing moments or stories with these bad boys is a blast. I only have one of these items above but it is one of my babies. I love being able to have a camera so accessible that I can grab it and go film my sister's play, a short fiction film, or some short nature docs.

Drums
I love music! Drums are my favorite instrument. I started playing when I was eleven. I love plugging in my headphones and playing along to some of the best drummers like Phil Collins. I have a set at my dad's and I feel so good when I am playing.

Sports (Baseball and Basketball)
I played baseball for seven years when I was growing up. I was in center field and I loved it. I love watching and playing sports. Sandlot was a childhood classic for me and OKC Thunder is my favorite NBA team.

Chili's
My favorite restaurant is Chili's. I love food and I love good prices. The dinner for 2 for 20 dollars. You can't beat that. The options are incredible and the Chocolate Molten Cake is to die for. My family knows where we are going if I can pick.

Travel
I love to travel. I have been to Central and South America. I am so excited to go to London for the Film Study Abroad. I love to learn from other cultures and see the amazing sites and vistas. I went to Peru in high school and Machu Picchu is truly one of world's wonders for a reason.

Dancing
Thank you Will and Corky. I love to dance. Latin, swing, hip hop, or moving your head to the right and left over and over are some of my favorites. Everyone can dance and I love how everyone can participate.

Acting
I was performing arts minor before the film program. I still love to act and perform. I acted all throughout middle school and high school. My favorite role was Cat in the Hat in Seussical. This clip is hilarious of Sir Ian's acting thoughts.

Improv
This show was one of the best shows in history. I did improv in high school. I love being on your toes and seeing what will come out. There is no memorization which is great. Some of my favorite group games are improv games like Butler.

Roller Coasters
When I was a kid I would never go on the "big" roller coasters. Then, one day my dad and I were at the amusement park and he looked at me and told me today is the day. We got strapped in and my heart was pounding. The ride commenced and I flippin loved every second of it. Since then, I love hitting up the roller coasters. My favorite rides so far are at Six Flags near Valencia, CA.

  1. These are some good choices! I liked how you chose very broad subjects so we can really get a more complete picture of you.

  2. Goonies is the best! I also liked how with each item, you started with the general and then got more specific. It helped me see a little more about your general interests and then get a sense of why specifically you like them. Also, I miss Whose Line Is It Anyway.

  4. I love this! I think that the joy you find in these simple things is so evident as you write about them. That's so cool that you've been to Peru! (My high school never did anything that cool!)

  6. Improv! I don't like doing it but it is so fun to watch! Whose Line is like the most fun and easy to watch show ever, I love it. Also Roller Coasters are the bomb. Literally the best ever.

  7. The Goonies! This may shock you, but I've never seen it. I've heard only good about it though. And it has young Sean Astin, so it has to be good? Maybe your opinion will be the tipping point to seeing it! And I love Chile's. Food is the language of love, brother.

  8. Everything on this list is 10/10. I watched The Goonies over Christmas break and was immediately transported back to being 11-years-old. You covered a huge range of various things that you love and that was really cool.
